The Employee Experience Manager will create a positive and employee-centric workplace by focusing on optimizing the employee experience and enhancing overall operational efficiency. Your responsibilities will encompass design, implementation, and management of various aspects of the employee experience in alignment with company strategic goals and objectives, including meeting the strategic and logistical needs of a busy, fast-paced People function.
Responsibilities:
* Recommend and deliver strategies that foster employee engagement and cultivate a positive organizational culture. These may include clear communication of company goals, recognition of individual strengths, continuous learning opportunities, and prioritization of employee well-being. Analyze employee queries to identify patterns, pinpoint efficiencies, and propose enhancements to improve the overall employee experience.
* Design and deliver a comprehensive new hire orientation program that provides an overview of culture, inclusiveness, company policies, employee handbook and manager resources. The goal is to integrate and align new hires into the company and ensure they have the necessary information to succeed.
* Create and deliver onboarding approaches that positively impact engagement from the start of the employment journey to align new employees and managers with our business goals and objectives. Complete I-9 certification and confirm all legally required notices and policies have been reviewed and acknowledged.
* Design and execute a positive offboarding process, ensuring strict adherence to security protocols and regulatory requirements. Conduct exit interviews, gather feedback on their work experience and document the interview findings.
* Manage visa needs for new hires (E, L, TN, and H1B), and maintain visa files for current employees.
* Audit I-9’s quarterly to ensure regulatory compliance.
* Conduct research on HR related topics and review new/updated federal, state, and local legislation for impact on business, processes, and procedures. As assigned, analyze, detail, and execute changes required for compliance.
* Administer, interpret, and apply programs, policies, and procedures timely to include management of the employee handbook and manager resource guide. Ensure compliance with state and federal laws and regulations, as applicable, such as the Fair Labor Standards Act, Americans with Disabilities Act, and Equal Employment Opportunity guidelines.
* Design and execute initiatives to boost employee engagement, including surveys, feedback sessions, recognition programs and activities. Activities include but are not limited to, social functions, employee years of service recognition, monthly food events, well-being activities, and charitable functions.
* Design and implement procedures and guidelines for the management of employee files. Ensure adherence with federal and state legislative regulations and ensure safeguarding of sensitive information to ensure transparency, accountability, and legal compliance throughout an employee’s journey with the company.
* Analyze existing processes to identify improvement opportunities. Propose changes to enhance the HR experience. Collaborate with HR colleagues and business partners to create new programs, policies, or solutions.
* In alignment with company and departmental goals, objectives, and future projects, create the annual budget. Evaluate upcoming projects and vendor contracts to determine reasonable budget requirements. Regularly track expenses to ensure they align with the approved budget and perform cost-benefit analyses as necessary. Submit reports to leadership outlining spend analysis on a regular basis.
* Design and implement a comprehensive well-being program that caters to employees’ overall health and fulfillment. Address various dimensions, including physical, intellectual, emotional, social, spiritual/mindfulness, occupational, financial, and environmental well-being. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align the program with company goals and values. Manage budgets, promote engagement through consistent communication, evaluate vendor proposals, and establish metrics for assessing program effectiveness. Use data-driven insights to continuously enhance the program effectiveness.
* Research and identify charitable organizations and causes that align with the organization’s goals and values. Develop strategies to support and promote charitable initiatives, coordinate charity events, oversee the charity platform operation, and collaborate with internal teams to maximize employee engagement.
* Collaborate with the People Communications team to create and distribute employee communications and update employee intranet for employee related and company sponsored activities such as well-being, charity, designation achievements, promotions, and activity updates.
* Efficiently oversee vendor governance and relationships in alignment with LGA’s Vendor Management Policy and Program Procedures. Additionally, ensure strict adherence to commercial, contractual, and performance obligations, maximizing their impact.
* Use and maintenance of business systems in relation to job responsibilities, such as, but not limited to Dayforce HCM and DocuSign.
* Provide back-up support and guidance to other members of the HR team as needed.
Qualifications:
**Education/Certification*** Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field preferred
* PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP/SCP certification preferred
**Experience/Knowledge*** 3+ years leading programs and projects in one or more of the following areas: employee experience, employee engagement, employee journey management, organizational development, design thinking
* 3+ years human resources experience
* 2+ years experience with hire to retire process
* 3+ years employee events/activity planning experience
* Previous experience with HR information systems is required (Dayforce HCM is a plus)
**Skills*** Proficient with Microsoft Office and MS Teams; ATS and HRIS technology
* Excellent communication skills, interpersonal skills, ethics, and cultural awareness
* Strong presentation skills; ability to create and delivery engaging content
* Demonstrates excellence in customer relations and building partnerships with employees at all levels within the organization.
* Experience using multiple feedback channels (qualitative and quantitative) to find opportunities, identify gaps, design solutions, and drive improvements
* Ability to make high-quality decisions effectively and efficiently
* Proven ability to handle highly confidential and sensitive information in a professional manner
* Ability to analyze situations, research, identify solutions and solve problems
* Must possess superior organizational skills and be able to prioritize and work simultaneously on several projects
* Requires a broad knowledge of employment law, practices, and appropriate procedures in all areas of HR
* Exercises sound judgement, requires the analytical abilities and skills necessary to conduct and investigate questions/complaints, determine problems, identify solutions, make recommendations, etc.

The expected hiring compensation range for this position is $88,300 – $121,375 annually. **This position is hybrid requiring 3 or more days in our Frederick, Maryland office.**
The total compensation package for this position may include other elements, such as a sign-on bonus, long term incentives, and annual bonuses. This role is eligible to participate in the Legal & General America Annual Incentive Plan. The current target payment for the position is 8% of base salary, modified for corporate and individual performance. Bonuses are pro-rated based on start date. This role has 15 vacation days and 10 sick days that are accrued on a bi-weekly basis. Employees also have 9 paid holidays throughout the calendar year*.*
