**Title**: Human Resource Assistant/Scanner
**Work location**: Remote (Occasional visit to Washington DC)

**Job Responsibilities**:
* Reviewing a variety of official personnel actions for complex organizational elements with General Schedule and Wage Grade employees in Career-Conditional, Career, Temporary, limited appointments, and Excepted Service appointments. Examining all proposed personnel actions for correct citations of legal authority, effective dates and natures of action. Inputting personnel actions into computer system/databases; reviewing outputs and ensuring corrections as necessary
* Scanning and uploading documents into the electronic Official Personnel File (e-OPF), maintaining files, related documents and other personnel documents. Forwarding payroll documents and other materials as required. Maintaining payroll and personnel documents and disposal of the documents in accordance with OPM Records Management Schedule, DOT/OST/MARAD guidelines, and Privacy Act
* Exercising responsibility for the uploading of documents and maintenance of electronic Official Personnel Folder (e-OPF) system. Ensuring and verifying that documents are managed, filed, and disposed of IAW the OPM Records Management Schedule, DOT/OST/MARAD guidelines, and Privacy Act
**Requirements**:
* A high school diploma with 4 years of experience in related field or an associate/bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management with two years of experience in related field (preferred).
* Experience in the Federal sector is desirable
* Written and verbal communication skills to communicate with individuals at all levels of responsibility in the organization;
* Proficiency in using office automation software, e.g., MS Word, electronic mail (Outlook), Excel, and Access; skill in drafting, editing and reviewing documents for correct content, spelling, punctuation, format, grammar, and style; ability to communicate, skill in coordination of several integrated business processes to ensure timely process of all requests and excellent organization skills

Pay: $40,000.00 – $50,000.00 per year
