Job Description

Xi’an Famous Foods is a well-known and respected restaurant group based in NYC serving specialty Chinese cuisine in a fast-casual format.

***This is a fully in-person role, as our company has no remote or hybrid positions.***

**Responsibilities:**

* Handling day-to-day operations of multiple restaurants by partnering with Store Managers and other store employees on all issues, while coordinating with others on Operations team, as well as HR, IT, Central Kitchen
* Providing guidance, support, and shift coverage to store staff on all operational issues, especially focused on helping resolve impromptu scheduling and personnel issues in a timely and attentive manner
* Visit stores to conduct regular store audits; remotely observe stores to conduct routine observations
* Assist managers with weekly store schedules
* Preparing reports involving store operations as requested
* Research and implementation of new practices and technologies for store operations
* Assist other departments on general tasks as necessary

**Requirements:**

* Authorized to work in the U.S
* Able to speak both English and **Chinese (Mandarin) fluently**
* Able to interact and communicate productively and professionally with co-workers
* Able to work well under pressure and multitask
* Able to take initiative when working and does not require specific directions to solve problems at hand
* Hold at least a 2-year college degree (in any field), preferably with a business or hospitality-related major
* Must have at least 2 years of experience in the food/hospitality industry, preferably in a manager position
* Able to utilize MS Office with high proficiency, **especially Excel, Word**
* Able to type at least 60 words per minute
* Able to work full time (at least 40 hours a week) and flexible as necessary
* Able to work in our restaurants for any shift (day, night, weekdays, Saturdays) in all positions (front of house, kitchen, etc.) as part of training; able to support store operations as necessary on an on-going basis.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $68,000.00 – $72,000.00 per year

* Our company is a restaurant business. As such, all new office staff are expected to go through training as cashiers/cooks in our stores during their first weeks.
