**Job Description:**
Currently recruiting for an Assembly and Installation Technician. The individual should have experience in assembly, installation, repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electromechanical systems. The individual should be willing to drive to various locations in PA, NJ, DE, NY, MD, VA and surrounding states. Air travel will be required as the company grows. We are looking for a high-performing and highly motivated self-starter who works well in a team environment.
**Primary Responsibilities:**
* Interpret and work from electromechanical schematics, drawings, work instructions and bills of material to understand the required parts and steps needed to complete the assigned assembly
* Assemble, modify, rework, and/or re-assemble production components utilizing drawings, process documentation, and/or verbal instructions
* Position and fasten units to assemblies and sub-assemblies, fasten cables and wiring and solder electrical components
* Inspect wiring installations, assemblies, circuits, and verify dimensions and clearances of parts, to ensure conformance to blueprint specifications, using instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and height gauges
* Perform pre-assembly activities such as cleaning, lubricating, or reconditioning of components as per established cleaning procedures, identify wires with use of basic color code sequence
* Prepare and utilize basic hand tools and machines including but not limited to power screwdriver, ruler, solder iron, clamp machine, heat gun, vise, solder pots, crimpers, pinning machine, and automatic wire strippers
* Investigate equipment failures and difficulties to diagnose faulty operation, and make recommendations for optimized equipment maintenance
* Adjust or repair electrical equipment as required
* Install full sized vending machines and revision kits to support our vending machine operation
* Restock vending machines in different locations as needed to support our vending machine operation
* Ensure that quality checks are completed throughout the assembly process
* Perform online Go/No-Go testing and inspection, to ensure parts and assemblies meet production specifications
* Troubleshoot and replace defective or nonperforming parts of finished products
* Rework and repair defective units rejected by inspection or test personnel
* Pack finished products for shipment, support cycle count activity, inventory handling, and inventory transactions following established material procedures
* Complete all required paperwork, perform clean-up activities, tool inventory activities and perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor
* Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures, especially relevant safety policies and procedures, to promote a safe and efficient working environment
* Perform equipment installation and maintenance at client locations, using necessary tools and equipment
* Follow installation and operation manuals during the installation process with excellent attention to detail
* Should be able to lift at least 70 pounds at any point during the installation process
* Use power tools such as drills, drivers, hammers, screwdrivers, etc., to install and dismantle the company’s equipment at various internal and external locations
* Recommend and get approval for different hinges/brackets for the installation based on various field conditions
* Train customers in operating our equipment on a need basis
* Respond to service calls and correct equipment failures and faults
* Confer with engineers and other personnel to implement operating procedures, resolve system malfunctions, track root causes, suggest solutions for customer issues and provide technical information as required
* Actively participate in cross-functional team efforts, continuous improvement activities, team building initiatives and maintain productive working relationships with all team members
* Support cost down/lean/continuous improvement activities as defined by engineering
* Support and assist both manufacturing and engineering teams with accuracy and speed to complete tasks within a fast-paced environment
* Other responsibilities as assigned by management from time to time
**Skills & Experience Required:**
* Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics (Or) High School Diploma or GED equivalent
* A basic understanding of how to read & interpret 2D & 3D diagram of components, production assembly drawings/diagrams, BOM’s routing notes, product requirements on the traveler, and sample units (where available)
* Strong ability to assemble/dismantle the product as per the requirements, especially electro-mechanical products
* Able to use common hand tools including screwdrivers, pliers, cutters, wrenches, and electrical equipment
* Experience in basic project documentation (test procedure & report, EID, wiring diagram, etc.)
* A basic knowledge of how to use various diagnostic equipment such as multi-meters and other measurement devices
* Self-Starter without requiring much supervision with an ability to carry out work assignments with limited guidance beyond the initial objective
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 – $60,000.00 per year
