Founded over 60 years ago, Railhead Corporation is a leading safety, lighting and security product provider to Class 1 and Short Line railroads, Transit Agencies, and industrial distributors across North America. We are preparing for increased sales and production. Located conveniently near I-55 and Rt. 83 in Burr Ridge, IL.
Responsibilities
– Manage all sales activities for safety and lighting products to railroads and transit agencies in assigned regions or to specific key accounts.
– Conduct both in-person and phone sales to Railroads for tools and safety products.
– Present and sell company products and services to current and potential clients.
– Prepare action plans and schedules to identify specific targets and project contacts.
– Follow up on leads and referrals from field activity.
– Identify and contact sales prospects and other assigned accounts.
– Develop and maintain sales materials and current product knowledge.
– Establish, maintain, and grow current and potential client relationships.
– Identify and resolve client concerns.
– Prepare status reports, including activity, closings, follow-up, and adherence to goals.
– Demonstrate products and teach customers how to use them.
– Generate leads and marketing tools such as mailers.
– Maintain and update a weekly to-do list with a copy provided to your supervisor.
– Attend industry trade shows, set up booths, and interact with potential customers.
– Achieve target goals for prospect and existing customer calls.
Role Requirements
– Highly organized with the ability to work independently.
– Comfortable working in field environments as well as customer corporate offices
– Strong persuasion and influencing skills.
– Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
– Ability to develop and deliver presentations and create/edit written materials.
– Knowledge of advertising and sales promotion techniques (acquired through a bachelor’s degree and / or 3-5 years of successful sales experience).
– Maintain a professional appearance and provide a positive company image to the public.
– Willingness to travel overnight for multi-state territories (valid state driver’s license required), and attend trade shows / conferences.
– CRM or customer management software experience.
Desired Role Qualifications
– Previous sales experience in Rail or transportation sales.
– Fluency in English and Spanish (Preferred)

– Base pay plus commission
