Job Description:
We are seeking a Cloud Application Migration Specialist with expertise in Node.js, Python, Go, and other runtime environments to lead the migration of applications from PCF/TAS/TKGI to Red Hat OpenShift (OCP). The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with containerization, Kubernetes, and optimizing cloud-native applications for scalability and resilience.
Responsibilities:
* Lead the migration of multi-language runtime applications to OpenShift using tools like RedHat MTA and Konveyor Move2Kube.
* Assess application architectures and define migration strategies.
* Refactor and containerize applications to ensure performance and compatibility in OpenShift.
* Automate migration processes with scripts, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure configurations.
* Collaborate with DevOps and platform engineering teams for smooth integration.
* Provide expertise in OpenShift best practices for multi-language runtimes.
* Diagnose and troubleshoot runtime, networking, storage, and performance issues in Kubernetes.
* Create migration playbooks and technical documentation; provide post-migration support.
Required Skills:
* Languages & Frameworks: Node.js, Python, Go.
* Migration Experience: PCF/TAS/TKGI to OpenShift or other Kubernetes platforms.
* Tools & Technologies: Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Tekton, Harness).
* Cloud-Native Practices: Microservices, RESTful APIs.
* Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills in Kubernetes environments.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
* Experience: 5+ years in application development and deployment in Node.js, Python, Go.
* OpenShift or Kubernetes certification (preferred, e.g., CKAD or CKA).
