**Job Description**

We are looking for a skilled Back-End Java Developer to join our growing engineering team. As a key member of the backend services group, you will work on building scalable, high-performance, and reliable backend systems using core Java technologies, Spring Boot, and microservices architecture. The ideal candidate should have strong experience with EJBs, Servlets, and modern Java frameworks.

**Key Responsibilities**

* Design, develop, test, and deploy robust back-end applications using Java (8/11/17) and Spring Boot.
* Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices to support frontend and integration layers.
* Work with legacy components such as EJBs and Servlets, modernizing and refactoring where appropriate.
* Collaborate with DevOps and QA teams to automate deployment and ensure high reliability of services.
* Optimize application performance and scalability.
* Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and technical grooming sessions.
* Ensure secure coding practices and compliance with best engineering standards.
* Troubleshoot production issues and provide support to operations.

**Required Skills & Qualifications**

* Strong core Java programming skills (Java 8 or later).
* Proven experience with Spring Framework, especially Spring Boot.
* Solid understanding of Microservices architecture and communication patterns (REST, gRPC, etc.).
* Hands-on experience with Enterprise Java Beans (EJB) – Stateless/Stateful/Message-driven.
* Experience working with Servlets, JSPs, and Java EE containers.
* Proficiency with SQL and relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle).
* Familiarity with unit testing, integration testing, and frameworks like JUnit or Mockito.
* Good understanding of CI/CD pipelines, version control (Git), and build tools (Maven/Gradle).
* Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.

**Preferred Skills**

* Experience with message brokers (Kafka, RabbitMQ, etc.).
* Exposure to containerization tools like Docker and orchestration (Kubernetes).
* Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
* Familiarity with performance monitoring and application profiling tools (New Relic, AppDynamics).
* Understanding of security practices (e.g., OAuth2, JWT, TLS).

**Education**

* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
