Java Technical Specialist (RHEL Compatibility Expert) – Locals Only

Job Description

A Public Sector client of ours is looking for a Java Technical Specialist (RHEL Compatibility Expert) to work on their ongoing project in the Raleigh, NC office.

**Required Qualifications:**

**We need a minimum of 10+ years of hands-on experience in the following.**

– Significant development experience in Java, particularly solving library and compatibility issues between versions of Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
– Strong SQL skills (HiCAMS uses a Sybase database but SQL skills in any database platform are acceptable)
– Experience working in a remote software development environment
– Strong analytical, conceptual, and technical skills
– Positive interpersonal skills coupled with an independent, self-motivated work ethic
– Proven written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain business processes to IT users and IT applications to business user
– Development experience in C#
– Development experience in C/C++
– Experience coding stored procedures and triggers (any database)
– Experience developing .net applications and API’s in a Visual Studio environment
– Data conversion experience
