**Job Description: Solution Designer (Microsoft Dynamics 365)**
**Location:** 2 MetroTech Center, New York, NY (NYC local candidates only)
**Work Mode:** Hybrid (onsite required)
**Interview Process:** 2 virtual rounds + 1 onsite
**Visa:** USC/GC/H1B
**Engagement & Rate:** Contract, C2C, $80/hr
**Minimum Experience:** 15+ years total (with significant recent D365 solution design)
**Role Overview**
We are seeking a senior Solution Designer with strong Business Analyst style responsibilities and deep hands-on experience across Microsoft Dynamics 365. You will translate business requirements into end-to-end solution design documents and collaborate with product owners, architects, and engineering teams to deliver scalable, secure Dynamics 365 solutions integrated with Microsoft 365 and the broader Azure ecosystem.
**Key Responsibilities**
– Lead discovery workshops, requirements elicitation, and fit-gap analysis.
– Translate functional requirements into solution blueprints, process flows, and sequence/activity diagrams.
– Produce high-quality Solution Design Documents (SDD), data models, integration specs, and security/role design.
– Define and govern D365 configurations, customizations (plugins, workflows), and Power Platform components.
– Partner with developers to ensure designs are implemented as intended; guide code reviews and non-functional requirements.
– Define data migration strategies, data quality rules, and cutover plans.
– Orchestrate testing strategy (SIT/UAT), defect triage, and readiness sign-off.
– Align solution with enterprise standards for performance, security, and compliance; document risks and mitigations.
– Support change management, training materials, and hypercare.
**Required Qualifications**
– 15+ years in enterprise application delivery, including significant experience in Dynamics 365 solution design.
– Strong command of Dynamics 365 (CE/CRM and/or F&O), Dataverse, Power Apps (model-driven/canvas), and Power Automate.
– Proven experience drafting BRD/FRD/SDD, user stories, acceptance criteria, and traceability.
– Integration design experience with REST/JSON, Azure API Management, Service Bus/Queues, and Microsoft 365 (Teams, SharePoint).
– Solid understanding of security/roles, environments/ALM, performance, and telemetry.
– Excellent stakeholder communication, workshop facilitation, and documentation skills.
– Tools: Azure DevOps or Jira/Confluence; Visio or equivalent for diagrams.
**Preferred Qualifications**
– Exposure to Azure services (Functions, Logic Apps, Event Hub, Key Vault, Application Insights).
– Experience with data migration (KingswaySoft/ADF), testing coordination, and release governance.
– Familiarity with .NET/C# plugins, JavaScript for form logic, and solution layering.
– Prior consulting experience in regulated or enterprise environments.
