**Job Overview**
We are seeking a skilled CAD Mechanical Engineer to join a dynamic engineering team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in sheet metal design and electrical switchgear, along with strong proficiency in CAD tools, preferably SolidEdge. This is a full-time, on-site role located in Bristol, VA, with a project duration of 12 months.

**Key Responsibilities**

– Design, develop, and modify mechanical components and assemblies, particularly sheet metal structures.
– Work on electrical switchgear design and integration with mechanical systems.
– Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure designs meet technical specifications and project requirements.
– Prepare detailed CAD models, drawings, and documentation for manufacturing and assembly.
– Participate in design reviews and provide technical recommendations to improve functionality and manufacturability.
– Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical design issues as they arise during the project lifecycle.

**Required Qualifications**

– Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field.
– 3-5+ years of relevant mechanical engineering experience.
– Strong experience in sheet metal design.
– Hands-on experience with electrical switchgear.
– Proficiency in SolidEdge is preferred. Experience in SolidWorks or Autodesk Inventor is acceptable.
– Strong understanding of mechanical design principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.
– Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced team environment.

**Interview Process**
