**Position: Linux Infrastructure Engineer (RHEL)**

Location: Whippany, NJ / New York, NY (Hybrid – 2-3 days onsite)
Duration: 10+ Months (Possible Extension)
Rate: $45/hr C2C

**Role Overview**
**We are seeking an experienced Linux Infrastructure Engineer to support and manage enterprise-scale production environments within a secure and highly available infrastructure. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in Red Hat Linux (RHEL), automation, networking, and infrastructure operations across on-prem and cloud environments.**
**This role requires strong troubleshooting capability, automation mindset, and the ability to operate in a fast-paced global financial services environment.**
**Key Responsibilities**
– Build, configure, and maintain enterprise Linux (RHEL) production environments
– Administer and support RHEL 6/7/8 and Red Hat Satellite
– Perform advanced troubleshooting across Linux OS, networking, and infrastructure
– Automate operational tasks using Bash, Python, or similar scripting
– Manage server-side networking including TCP/UDP/Multicast
– Support virtualization (VMware) and hybrid infrastructure (on-prem + AWS cloud)
– Implement configuration management tools such as Ansible, Chef, or Puppet
– Support clustering technologies including Veritas and Oracle RAC
– Manage and maintain secure, complex server estates at enterprise scale
– Work closely with vendors, suppliers, and cross-functional global teams
– Ensure adherence to ITIL processes and operational best practices
**Required Skills & Qualifications**
– 8–10+ years of Linux infrastructure experience in enterprise environments
– Strong expertise in Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) administration
– RHCE Certification (Mandatory)
– ITIL Foundation Certification (Mandatory)
– Strong knowledge of:
– Server-side networking (TCP/IP, UDP, Multicast)
– VMware & virtualization technologies
– Automation & scripting (Bash/Python)
– Configuration management tools (Ansible/Chef/Puppet)
– Satellite server administration
– Experience supporting enterprise data center environments
– Exposure to AWS or hybrid cloud infrastructure
– Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
– Financial services domain experience preferred
– Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
