Job Description

**Title**: 508 Accessibility Tester

**Work location**: Remote (occasional visit to Washington DC for meetings)

**Term**: Fulltime

**Travel**: None

**Job Responsibilities**:

* Expert knowledge of 508 compliance and WCAG 2.0 A& AA requirements.
* Experience with testing tools like Web Accessibility Toolbar, Favelets for Checking Web Accessibility, Axe, Wave, Color Contrast Analyzer.
* Experience with assistive technology used for testing. Screen Readers, JAWS, NVDA,
* Experience Supporting a Federal Client preferred.
* Coordinate and prioritize web accessibility testing activities and work with multiple teams.
* Understand the impacts on people with disabilities for each WCAG guideline.
* Write test report documentation that is clear and easy to consume by both technical and non‐technical audiences.
* Knowledge in making documents accessible e.g. Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat Professional.
* Plan, construct and execute manual and automated tests to verify compliance with accessibility guidelines and standards.
* Utilize automated accessibility testing tools, manual testing methodologies (keyboard, screen reader, etc.) and assistive technologies.
* Ensure all testing results are documented clearly.
* Track defects to closure and keep defect repository up to date.

**Requirements**:

* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required.
* DHS Trusted Tester Certification with a minimum of four (4) years’ experience designing, developing, and implementing an accessibility application testing system.
* Preference shall be given to those with past experience in a Federal Agency

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $95,000.00 – $120,000.00 per year
