Job Description

**Title**: 508 Accessibility Tester

**Work location**: Remote

**Salary**: $60,000-$75,000 per year

**Job Responsibilities**:

* Conduct comprehensive accessibility testing on Drupal website and content, using a variety of assistive technologies and tools to review compliance with WCAG 2.1 and 2.2.
* Perform manual and automated accessibility testing using various tools and assistive technologies.
* Identify all accessibility issues, such as lack of alternative text for images, keyboard navigation barriers, and non-compliant multimedia content.
* Create and maintain test cases and test scripts for accessibility testing.
* Identify all accessibility issues and remediate documents in various formats such as Adobe PDFs, Microsoft Word documents, Excel spreadsheets, PowerPoint presentations, dashboards, and audio and video files, as applicable.
* Generate a detailed report, documenting findings and proposed solutions, including specific accessibility violations, impacted components, and feasible recommendations for the remediation of each finding.
* Collaborate with internal stakeholders and development teams to implement remediation solutions, ensuring compliance with Section 508 accessibility standards.
* Periodically provide virtual training or consultation sessions on Section 508 conformity

**Requirements**

* Atleast 3 years of experience with the testing Drupal webpage content, and systems to comply with Section 508 compliance standards
* Atleast 3 years experience with reporting findings, proposing solutions, and implementing remedies to support Federal agencies’ Section 508 compliance
* Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Trusted Tester V5 Certification
* Technical knowledge including but not limited to ARIA, HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, ANDI, JAWS or other testing applications.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 – $75,000.00 per year
