Salary Range: $112,900.00 – $134,000.00

**Position Summary**

Responsible for all facets of academic and faculty affairs within the department
**Job Responsibilities**
————————
* Responsible for the processing of all faculty and non-faculty academic appointments, reappointments, promotions and/or terminations within the Medical College and NYPH.
* Compiles appointment enrollment packages for candidates, liaises with the Office of Faculty Affairs and Medical Staff Office and follows up to ensure timely submission of paperwork.
* Coordinates and prepares visa/immigration paperwork. Serves as primary liaison to HR’s Immigration Office and/or immigration attorneys. Stays abreast of visitor (B), training (J-1) and work (H1B or O) visas or permanent residency policies and laws.
* Oversees the department’s appointment process for full-time, part-time and voluntary academic staff.
* Responsible for ensuring that the MD-PhD Program is compliant with all governing agencies rules and regulations, the foremost of these agencies being the NIH.
* Ensures professional licensing is obtained and maintained for residents and faculty.
* Orients new fellows, residents and/or visiting professors and assists them in obtaining housing.
* Ensures that managed care credentialing and related billing and financial related onboarding for new recruits occurs in a timely manner. Orients new faculty members to the billing process and the correct submission of charges and payments.
* Oversees quality assurance programs and activities following institutional, state and/or federal quality operating standards. Monitors the same for continued quality improvement. Ensures appropriate documentation is maintained as needed.
* Coordinates and participates in site visits and audits. Ensures readiness and compliance. Addresses and resolves issues uncovered during visit/audit.
* Oversees the administrative functions of the department’s fellowship and/or residency program(s), including the planning and recruitment of applicants, orientation, credentialing, documentation, evaluation and compliance.
* Performs other related duties as assigned.
