Job Description

**Title**: ActiveMQ Administrator

**Work location**: Remote

**Duration**: 1 year

**Term:** Fulltime

**Job Responsibilities**:

* ActiveMQ Classic/Artemis queue manager administration, trouble shooting, configuration and on call support as needed.
* Installation, configuration, and administration of ActiveMQ queue managers on distributed platform.
* Provide on call support as needed to diagnose and rectify issue related to queue managers.
* Responsible for clearly document requirements, design, and operation procedures for queue managers.
* Migrate IBM MQ messaging implementation gradually to an Apache ActiveMQ infrastructure
* Periodically provide virtual training or consultation sessions on ActiveMQ

**Requirements**:

* Certified Apache Committer
* BS in Computer Science or related field and 10 years of related experience in ActiveMQ.
* Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust requiring U.S. Citizenship.
* Must have expert knowledge of ActiveMQ on distributed platforms.
* Must have skills in diagnosing issues related to ActiveMQ queue managers.
* Must have good knowledge of UNIX operating system and scripting languages (bash/korn shell, expect).
* Knowledge of Java and JMS and REST interface is preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $90,000.00 – $120,000.00 per year
