RDS/Aurora – PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, Neptune, Elasticache.

Note- Looking for a Senior AWS Database Admin to meet our growing business needs, secure our sensitive data, and optimize application performance. This position will significantly enhance our DevSecOps team’s capabilities and deliver substantial value across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Database Complexity: Our data landscape is becoming increasingly complex with the growth of applications and data volume. existing database management tasks are straining our current resources.

• Improved Database Performance: The engineer will optimize database queries, identify, and address performance bottlenecks, and implement strategies for scalability. They will collaborate effectively with Dev and SecOps teams, ensure secure coding practices related to database interactions, and automate database deployments.

• Financial Savings: the engineer not only will optimize for performance but optimize the value of the database by utilizing Finops best practices. Efficiencies will lead to long-term cost savings and patch management will help prevent costly data breaches and reducing resource strain on existing staff.

• Security Vulnerabilities: Database security is paramount. A dedicated expert will minimize vulnerabilities, strengthen data protection measures, and ensure compliance with industry standards.

• Performance Bottlenecks: We are experiencing occasional performance bottlenecks in our database systems, impacting application functionality and user experience. A Senior Database Engineer can identify and address these issues proactively.

• DevSecOps Integration: Effective communication and collaboration between development, security, and operations are essential. A Senior Database Engineer with DevSecOps experience can bridge these gaps and streamline processes.

• Proactive maintenance and optimization will minimize database downtime, ensuring application availability and business continuity.
