Backend Engineer

**About the Role:**
We’re looking for a Backend Engineer who is passionate about building scalable systems and excited about working at the intersection of backend engineering and machine learning infrastructure.
In this role, you’ll design and maintain the systems that power intelligent applications from secure API servers and data pipelines to deployment automation and cloud-native infrastructure. If you enjoy solving deep technical problems and collaborating across disciplines, you’ll thrive here.
**What You’ll Be Doing:**
* Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs with a strong emphasis on performance, security, and reliability
* Improve and expand our AI evaluation framework and model communication protocols
* Build and maintain integrations with external data sources and internal tools
* Write and optimize complex SQL queries for data transformation and analysis
* Troubleshoot and debug complex issues across applications, services, and layers of the stack
* Create detailed operational and user documentation for internal teams
* Automate infrastructure and deployments across cloud providers like GCP, AWS, and Azure
* Own and evolve CI/CD pipelines to support efficient development and release cycles
* Participate in real-time response and resolution of production issues
* Collaborate on roadmap planning with a focus on long-term architecture and sustainability.
**Who You Are:**
* 3–7 years of experience as a backend engineer working in data-heavy or distributed environments
* Strong coding skills in Go / Python.
* Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as GCP, AWS or Azure.
* Experience or interest in machine learning infrastructure, LLMs, or MLOps workflows
* Comfortable writing efficient, production-grade SQL
* Excellent debugging, problem-solving, and communication skills
* Enthusiastic about working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
