* **Travel**: Up to 30% travel is required for this role. It will probably be much less (closer to 15%) but my client does not want people that are afraid to travel. It would not be long trips 1-2 days normally, primarily on the east coast.

**Job Description:**
Seeking a Business Development Manager / Sales Engineer offering potential growth to VP level in 2-4 years for a talented, motivated individual. The Business Development Manager will drive expansion of Control Systems Integration & Services business in the United States through a variety of sales & marketing activities with an initial focus on new target account identification & development.
**Responsibilities:**
* Conducts research to identify potential new Automation customers and creates / maintains a target customer list, including obtaining key sales contact information.
* Establishes initial contact with new target customers by “cold” calling prospects via phone and e-mail and/or through the use of social media. Networks where possible to turn cold-calls into “warm” calls.
* Visits pre-qualified target customers to discuss Automation capabilities and explore potential matches with the customer’s current and future planned controls projects.
* Tracks sales activities, contact information, and status of specific opportunities at target accounts.
* Develops sales proposals for control system integration and services, including proposal document development and cost estimating activities.
* May research, develop, implement and measure the results of new methods to promote business (e.g., use of social media, web marketing, etc.).
**Qualifications & Experience:**
* ***MUST HAVE Direct industrial sales of controls/automation systems, products and/or services***
* Telemarketing / cold-calling
* Technical sales proposal development
