**CT Surgery – Advanced Practitioner**

**Position Overview**

Join a nationally recognized healthcare leader renowned for excellence and innovation in patient care. Our client is seeking a dedicated **Advanced Practitioner** to join their dynamic **Cardiothoracic Surgery team**. This role focuses on providing expert care in non-cardiac surgical services, preoperative and postoperative management, ICU support, and surgical first-assisting. Advanced critical care skills, including ventilator and hemodynamic management, are integral to the position.

**Core Responsibilities**

**Surgical Care**:

* Serve as a **first-assist** in surgical procedures, performing advanced technical functions during operations.

**Patient Management**:

* Conduct **preoperative assessments**, patient consultations, and maintain strong communication with patients and their families.
* Oversee **postoperative care**, coordinate admissions and discharges, and respond to emergency consultations.

**Critical Care Support**:

* Provide expert management of critical care patients, focusing on **ventilator** and **pharmacological interventions**.
* Perform clinical procedures such as pacing wire and chest tube removal, wound care, and handling patient admissions.

**Work Schedule**

* **Three weekly shifts**:
* **Two day shifts**: 7:00 a.m. – 7:30 p.m.
* **One night shift**: 7:00 p.m. – 7:30 a.m.
* On-call duties: **One weekend every three weeks**.

**Qualifications**

**Education and Licensure**:

* Master’s Degree in a related field.
* Active **PA Medical License** and **NCCPA Certification** (for Physician Assistants).
* DEA Registration.

**Certifications**:

* **ACLS** and **BLS** certifications required.

**Skills**:

* Advanced critical care knowledge, including ventilator and hemodynamic management.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
