Job Description: Data Engineer (x2)

Location: Remote (East Coast time zone preferred), Hybrid option available

Duration: 6 months + possible extension, potential conversion to FTE if local to NYC

An Alternate Investment firm is seeking 2 Data Engineers to support both US and European teams, with a focus on real estate pricing initiatives involved in investments spanning over a billion dollars’ worth of properties. These roles require close collaboration with the UK team and focus on using real-time data to inform business decisions amid market fluctuations. Candidates based in the EST time zone are highly preferred due to team collaboration needs.

Responsibilities:

* Data Wrangling: Develop testable Python-based data wrangling solutions.
* Azure Expertise: Leverage Azure tools such as SQL Server, Azure Data Factory (ADF), and Azure Machine Learning Studio.
* Power BI Reporting: Standardize data using Power BI and generate real-time business insights.
* Predictive Modeling: Build and enhance predictive models with AI in mind for future deployments.
* Data Integration: Handle both structured and unstructured data, fine-tuning disparate data sources from external APIs.
* Cleansed Data Provisioning: Work with data scientists to deliver clean and relevant data for model building.
* Data Orchestration: Coordinate data flow using Azure Data Factory, ensuring proper performance and consistency.
* Collaborative Problem Solving: Work across various teams in both the US and UK to ensure the data infrastructure supports business goals.
Requirements:

* Python Expertise: Minimum of 5 years of Python ecosystem experience, particularly in writing unit-testable code.
* Azure Cloud Tools: Proficiency with Azure SQL Server, Azure Data Factory, and Azure ML Studio.
* Power BI: Experience creating reports and visualizations using Power BI.
* API Integration: Hands-on experience working with external APIs and various external data sources.
* Data Management: Proven ability to handle both structured and unstructured data, with a focus on cleansing, organizing, and making data ready for use.
* Predictive Analytics: Experience in building models with predictive capabilities.
* Team Collaboration: Strong communication skills to work with both US-based cloud teams and UK-based AI reporting teams.
