Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Data Governance Specialist with expertise in Microsoft Purview, Databricks Unity Catalog, and Profisee (preferred but not required). The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in data governance, data quality, and data integration, along with a proven ability to define and operate data governance policies across multiple data domains. This role is pivotal in implementing and enforcing governance policies while collaborating with various teams to ensure data quality and consistency.

Key Responsibilities:
Define and implement the data governance policies supporting multiple data domains using tools such as Microsoft Purview, Databricks Unity Catalog, and Profisee.
Promote the role of data governance, enforce policies, and follow best practices for Data Governance.
Develop and communicate data governance policies to relevant stakeholders, providing training and guidance as needed.
Provide oversight and support for Asset Management, ensuring awareness and adherence to data standards and policies.
Work with Data Engineering teams to understand data storage solutions, including extract, load, and transform (ELT) technologies on the Databricks Lakehouse architecture.
Collaborate with data engineers, data scientists, and business units to solve analytical needs and ensure data quality.
Ensure compliance with data security, privacy regulations (e.g., CCPA, GDPR), and governance standards.
Qualifications:
6+ years of experience in data governance, data integration, and data management, with hands-on experience using Unity Catalog, Purview, and SQL.
Strong understanding of data compliance, security, and privacy regulations (e.g., CCPA, GDPR).
Proven experience in data quality management, including the development and implementation of data quality standards, processes, and procedures.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to conduct training courses for various business functions to ensure governance practices are well understood.
Strong communication skills are critical for this role to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders effectively.
