Demand Planner
Job Description
Work Location: This role works remotely and will be at one of our offices or manufacturing facilities a couple times/month. This role will be required to reside within 100 miles of Akron, Ohio.

Role Objective
This position will be responsible for demand planning (forecasting). This role will play a key part in developing a revised demand and/or production plan through the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) and Sales and Operations Execution (S&OE) processes based on disconnects between real demand and the forecast.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
* Focuses on the short-term S&OE time frame @ SKU-Plant level
* Validates historical cadence and performs adjustments when it is needed
* Utilizes available techniques to monitor and update the demand plan in the relevant time frame using Demand Planning systems
* Performs demand forecast analysis, focused on key business drivers and weekly plan
* Monitors sales deviation (MAPE or WMAPE), forecast value add and bias
* Supports inputs from sales, marketing, finance and other functions on the demand plan
* Collaborates across business units and time frames to connect changes in all systems
* Prepares and facilitates demand planning meetings (monthly or weekly)
* Works with supply and sales planning team to manage product transitions and promotions
* Helps manage promotional planning adjustments in the weekly supply planning horizon
* Provides analysis and reports as required to drive forecast accuracy improvement
Education and Experience
* Bachelor’s Degree BS/BA in Business, Finance, Marketing Supply Chain or Logistics strongly preferred
* Minimum three (3) years of analytical/systems experience required
* Experience in IBP a plus
* Proven analytical and process skills and demonstrated success in problem solving required
* Strong interpersonal skills required
* Advanced level Excel skills required (Pivot Tables, Vlookups, Sumifs, Match function knowledge)
Supervision/Coordination
Individual contributor, reporting directly to Supply Chain Planning Director

Travel Requirements
Travel between campus locations in Northeast Ohio as needed
