Job Title: DevOps engineer
Location: Jeffersonville, Indiana -Onsite 4x a week
Duration: 6 months contract to hire (Only USC or Green Card can apply)
Rate: $52-$57/hr. on W2 Only
Description:
As a DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for bridging the gap between development and operations teams. You will work to automate and optimize our development pipeline, implement continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) pipelines, improve SDLC processes, and monitor system performance.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop, maintain, and enhance CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployment.
* Collaborate with development, QA, and operations teams to ensure smooth integration and deployment processes.
* Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to maintain a high level of system availability.
* Implement security best practices and compliance standards across the infrastructure.
* Automate repetitive tasks to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
* Ensure infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, Cloud Formation, or Ansible.
* Develop and maintain scripts for system monitoring, performance optimization, and other administrative tasks.
* Experience with incorporating security scanning into the CI/CD process
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience in guiding a company early in their DevOps journey.
* Experience with microservices architecture.
* Knowledge of agile methodologies and DevOps best practices.

* 3+ years of experience in a DevOps or similar role.
* Experience developing, maintaining, and enhancing CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployment.
* Heavy experience with Jenkins automation software.
Requirements:
* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
* 3+ years of experience in a DevOps or similar role.
* Heavy experience with Jenkins automation software.
* Strong experience with DataDog, Splunk, or comparable monitoring software.
* Blended experience of on-prem and cloud infrastructure
* Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
* Experience with source code management tools like Git, BitBucket, etc.
* Strong knowledge of networking, security, and system administration.
* Understanding of infrastructure as code (IaC) principles and tools.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude.
* Strong communication and teamwork skills.
