Role Overview:
This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on leader to take charge of a growing Paid Search & Paid Social team and turn it into a powerful revenue driver for a fast-growing global digital agency with around 150 employees. Were looking for someone with deep expertise in Paid Search and Paid Social, who can lead multi-million dollar campaigns that focus on reaching the right audience at every stage of the funnel for clients around the world.
In this role, you will oversee the strategic development and execution of innovative Paid Search and Paid Social campaigns across multiple platforms, including Google Ads, SA360, Microsoft Ads, Meta, TikTok, LinkedIn, and more. With support from the Paid Search & Paid Social team, you will be accountable for planning complex campaigns that deliver exceptional performance and tangible value to our clients. This client-facing position owns the development and effective delivery of strategic client decks/presentations. Youll oversee all campaign activity and deliverables for the teams Media Managers, and facilitate the training and development of the team. You will work with DELVEs Leadership Team and Paid Search / Paid Social Team Leads on resourcing and staffing plans.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of:
* Building, inspiring, and coaching a team of Paid Search & Paid Social professionals in executing performance-focused campaigns with maximum operational efficiency
* Leading the realization of commercial value through strong client management and the expansion of business unit Paid Search & Paid Social capabilities (ex: testing & scaling new platforms, thought leadership)
* Driving profitable business growth by becoming a trusted advisor to senior-level clients and industry partners (agencies and technology companies).
Heres what youll do:
* Project Margin Management: Ensure the department meets or exceeds Project Margin Targets. Lead forecasting efforts (Client Net Revenue, People Costs, and Department Project Margin) and make data-driven decisions based on analysis of past and projected margins, as well as productive utilization.
* Leadership with a Vision: Lead with a clear focus on achieving goals through your managers, not just by managing. As a coach, you will cultivate and promote internal talent, building future leaders. You’ll design and refine organizational structures that align with project margin goals, setting performance standards while motivating the team to exceed them. Your leadership will create a high-performance culture that attracts top talent, enabling long-term, sustainable growth.
* Customer Education & Thought Leadership: Serve as a confident and personable Subject Matter Expert, offering deep expertise and a strong point of view beyond the immediate scope of work. Your ability to listen, empathize, and understand the broader context will position you as a trusted advisor to clients.
* Key Focus: Inspire, build, and coach a team of Paid Search and Paid Social professionals, empowering them to execute high-impact campaigns that deliver maximum profitability.
Profitability & Operational Efficiency:
* Elevate the quality and consistency of client engagement execution through setting team expectations (and implementing steps to achieve) best-in-class planning and process implementation, work product standards, and client communications
* Set clear team member expectations and goals, measure team performance against expectations, and hold team members accountable for meeting expectations
* Provide first-hand training (through example, templates, and/or packaged materials) or referrals to external trainings as needed to elevate team members skillsets and the quality of their work product
* Engage and influence cross functional teams on large omnichannel programs (media planning, ad ops, programmatic, analytics, data science, engineering) through mature and thoughtful leadership, providing the Paid Search & Paid Social POV within a larger complex scope of simultaneous workstreams
* Actively manage P&L (top and bottom lines) and implement operational measures (org-, capability-, and business-related) to grow at scale in alignment with a scheduling system and target cost of delivery for every project
Exceptional Media Performance:
* Lead team in developing and deploying innovative tech-first strategies (e.g., Custom Bidding, SA360 feature set, etc.) that leverage all available features of relevant ad platforms
* Bring a strong POV on tech-based and data-backed approaches for achieving outsized results; staying on top of industry trends and current best practices keeping pace with Paid Search & Paid Social innovation
* Provide a strong POV, backed by research and data, on creative & audience strategy as it relates to each clients business objectives and current market trends (industry, geography, and competition)
* Be the authoritative voice on campaign-related performance through proactive descriptive (measurement), predictive (trend extrapolation), and prescriptive (strategy & recommendation) insights tailored for marketing client stakeholder consumption. Effectively communicate the WHY behind performance changes, both positive and negative.
* Monitor your teams progress in client engagements, understanding when to step in to foster confidence and sell the business value of your teams work to executive-level stakeholders
Heres what you need:
Paid Search & Paid Social Campaign Execution & People Management
* Minimum of 8-10 combined years of working hands-on with Paid Search & Paid Social platforms
* 8+ years of hands-on experience managing paid digital media, including 5+ years managing Google Ads and 4+ years managing paid social campaigns, preferably Meta.
* 5+ years leading the client experience (at least 2 years in agency setting) from strategy development, research, and campaign optimizations to weekly performance reviews/insights/recommendation, QBRs, and 1:1s with client leadership.
* 5+ years leading an Paid Search and/or Paid Social team of 10+ specialists, account managers, and analysts in delivering high quality service for clients with monthly average 6-7 figure budgets
* Exhibited mastery of performance measurement frameworks (full-funnel measurement, multi-touch attribution, A/B testing, time series studies, brand lift, etc.)
* Expert ability and comfort in creating and delivering executive-level presentations (using frameworks, visuals, conceptual diagrams, and captivating storytelling devices) in small and large audience settings
* 5+ years inspiring, developing, and coaching people managers and multiplying your powers to maximize overall team performance down to the lowest levels of your org
* Proven success in implementing a capacity planning/forecasting process that informs both future headcount requirements and profitability forecasts
* Proven success implementing people management frameworks and consulting engagement delivery processes
Technology & Industry Expertise
* Experience with and/or expert knowledge of most of of the following: Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, SA360, Meta, TikTok, Pinterest, Snapchat, SEMRush, ClickUp, Google Analytics, Looker Studio
* Passion for evangelism of everything Paid Search and Paid Social, evidenced by publicly available thought leadership and participation in industry events.
* Strong POV on Paid Search & Paid Social place in conversion funnel and expert understanding of the relationship between Paid Search & Paid Social and other marketing channels, both digital and traditional/offline
* Experience collaborating with internal and external stakeholders in the development of measurement frameworks for Paid Search & Paid Social campaigns
* Strong POV on Paid Search & Paid Social creative strategies and demonstrated experience in executing research methodologies for creating strong POVs where none exist
* Demonstrable expertise in at least 2 industries (e.g., travel, non-profit, FMCG, mobile gaming, financial services, etc.)
* BS/BA in Marketing, Business Administration or related field

The salary range for this position is $150,000 – $175,000 plus a 10% salary performance bonus.
