The Bristol District is seeking a motivated and experienced leader for the position of Engineering Manager Special Projects. In this role you will oversee program management, including planning, organizing, monitoring, and directing all activities and resources necessary to complete assigned projects, with a focus on design-build and programs.
**Minimum Qualifications**
* Valid driver’s license.
* Ability to supervise staff, programs, and budgets.
* Experience in transportation design-build and construction principles and practices, transportation project management and quality assurance and control methods.
* Experience applying general managerial, administrative, and supervisory principles and practices; strategic, operational, and financial management principles, practices, and techniques.
* Skill in the use of computers and software applications.
* Valid Professional Engineer’s license.
* Experience in engineering design for roadways, state and federal standards related to highway design and construction.
* Ability to oversee construction activities for multiple projects of varying complexity and serve as the Engineer in Responsible Charge.
* Degree in Construction Engineering or related field.
* Considerable knowledge of federal, state, and local transportation rules, regulations, and policies.
* Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing with internal and external customers.
**Additional Considerations**
* DBIA Certification.
* DEQ Combined Administrator Certification.
* Extensive experience managing complex projects, to include design-build projects in the transportation engineering and construction industry.
