Job Overview
We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented ETL Engineer to join our data engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining ETL processes to transform raw data into meaningful insights. This position requires strong experience in data extraction, transformation, and loading from various sources to data warehouses or data lakes, using best practices to ensure high data quality and performance.
Key Responsibilities
* Design and Implement ETL Pipelines: Build, develop, and optimize ETL processes to extract data from multiple sources, transform it according to business requirements, and load it into target data systems (data warehouses, data lakes, etc.).
* Data Integration: Integrate data from disparate sources such as relational databases, APIs, flat files, and third-party systems.
* Data Transformation: Apply business logic and transformation rules to clean, enrich, and prepare data for analytics and reporting.
* Performance Tuning: Monitor and improve ETL job performance to ensure that data loads and processing are done efficiently.
* Data Quality Assurance: Ensure data quality by performing thorough testing, validation, and error handling during ETL processes.
* Collaboration: Work closely with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand data needs and provide the necessary infrastructure and pipelines.
* Documentation: Maintain clear and accurate documentation for ETL processes, including workflows, system architecture, and troubleshooting guidelines.
* Troubleshooting and Maintenance: Identify, resolve, and improve any ETL failures or bottlenecks, ensuring continuous data flow and system reliability.
