**Position Summary**
This position provides administrative support to associates of the School of Education (SoE), including field experience coordinators, faculty and staff as well as supervisors in other colleges, offices and departments across campus. The position helps to manage all student field placements. This work involves assisting and supporting a variety of constituents through database maintenance, customer service and communication, as well as ongoing office support. The normal work schedule for this position is Monday through Friday 7:45 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

**Required Qualifications**
* High school diploma or equivalent.
* Knowledge and experience in the use of computer software including Microsoft Office
* Suite (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
* Knowledge and experience in the use of e-mail (i.e. Outlook, Gmail) functions including electronic calendars.
* Effective oral and written communication skills.
* Excellent organizational and time management skills.
* Ability to coordinate projects, work independently and set priorities to meet the demands of the position.
* Possess an attention to details and time lines/due dates despite frequent interruptions.
* Ability to meet and work effectively with people across multiple levels of the organization.
* Ability to use discretion and good judgment regarding confidential information.

**Preferred Qualifications**
* Experience with relational database management.
* Knowledge of PeopleSoft products.
* Basic knowledge of budget maintenance and reporting.

Through partnerships with regional school districts and outstanding veteran educators, the School of Education provides teacher candidates with high quality experiences in schools as a means to advance the teaching profession. Duties/Responsibilities

These are the job duties required for the position.

**Responsibility Statement** Database Maintenance

**Duties to Support Responsibility**
* Maintain the Office of Field Experience (OFE) placement database including the monitoring of sensitive, mandatory student records (i.e. criminal background checks, immunization and testing records).
* Produce reports generated from database as needed for SoE Office Suite team members. Record and distribute placement information between OFE, teacher candidates, and our school partners, cooperating teachers and administrators.
* Register students for student teaching, seminars, and other field experiences each semester including the support necessary for the supervision course for cooperating teachers.
* Maintain cooperating teacher honorarium payment reports and records, coordinating with business office staff to ensure prompt and accurate payment to cooperating teachers.
* Maintain partner school affiliation agreements with the assistance of field experience coordinators.
* Create electronic surveys for cyclical projects and as needed.

**Responsibility Statement** Customer Service & Office Support

**Duties to Support Responsibility**
* Receive and screen calls and emails. Respond to communications accordingly. Plan and schedule meetings as necessary.
* Greet, screen and refer visitors to appropriate staff for the SoE Office Suite.
* Maintain communications with adjunct university supervisors, as well as full time faculty and staff in the SoE who university supervisors.
* Serve as a resource for students, preK-12 school personnel and SoE faculty and staff in basic field and student teaching policies and procedures.

* Manage the Cooperating Teacher Appreciation Mini-Grants Program.
* Manage the Rural Grants for teacher candidates who are in field and student teacher placements.
