Financial Analyst – Equipment Finance
Summary
Mortenson is seeking a Financial Analyst to support the Equipment Solutions Service Group by enhancing financial acumen, optimizing processes, and driving accountability. This role, based in Minneapolis, MN, will deliver actionable insights and strategic decision-making support to ensure the financial success of the Equipment Solutions business.
Responsibilities
* Support the annual budget and quarterly forecasting processes with focus on increasing accuracy, understanding variances and providing insights, and driving accountability
* Be an active participant in quarterly financial review meetings with Equipment Solutions and Operating Group Leadership teams
* Create monthly and quarterly financial reporting packages for Mortenson Senior Leadership Team meetings
* Help drive continuous process improvement by leveraging systems & technology and financial controls best practices
* Exercise fiduciary responsibility by supporting the design and implementation of financial controls
* Provide direct support to Equipment Solutions’ capital expenditure process by creating financial models and reviewing business cases
* Track fleet value, fleet age, utilization and return on investment of owned equipment
* Help define and track KPIs that have a direct correlation with the financial success of the Equipment Solutions business
* Create and present business intelligence dashboards to Equipment Solutions group leadership to drive data-based decision making
* Provide ad-hoc financial reporting & analysis as requested
* Effectively work cross-functionally and with other Operating Groups while building relationships across the organization
Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or equivalent field
* Experience with Microsoft Excel and ERP applications

The base pay range for this role is $71,400 – $107,100. (Actual range is higher for the following office locations: Denver, CO and Chicago, IL – 5%, Seattle, WA, and Portland, OR – 10%, Washington, D.C. – 12.5%).
Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience, with consideration given to internal equity. This position is eligible for Mortenson’s incentive plan.
