**Human Resources Coordinator**

GMS is seeking an applicant withproven effectiveness in Employee Relations/ Engagement, Employment and Performance Management. BS/BA with 5 to 15 years of HR experience. Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, ability to work effectively with all employees, proven collaborative skills, work experience with diverse population and strong knowledge of human resource principles essential. The position will be in-person in the office five days per week. Competence with ADP Workforce Now, Excel, and Word is essential.
Interpret state and federal regulations to meet employer legal requirements for both New York, New Jersey and California. Comply with Federal equal employment laws, State labor laws, COBRA and the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act, Sexual Harassment Compliance, Family Medical Leave act.
Payroll Administration of weekly multi-state payroll records for 130 employees, proficient in Workforce Now and WFN reporting. Processing of new hires, terminations, salary changes, year-end compliance reports – W2’s and Affordable Care Act reporting.
Administer health benefits including Medical, Life and Long-term disability, Health Reimbursement Account, Workman’s Compensation, Paid Time Off Hours, Cafeteria Plan, Transitchek and the 401K Retirement plan including the processing of the 5500-tax reporting. Applicant will be responsible for Workers Compensation, 401k and Medical IRS audits.
Foster positive employee relations by helping to address concerns, resolve workplace issues, and promoting a healthy work environment to meet the needs of the staff.
Recruit, interview and test for the hiring of administrative staff while providing supervision and training. Conduct annual performance reviews for all the staff. Update the general policies in the Employee Handbook. Generate offer letters and schedule orientation schedule for new hires. Upload every new hire into the E Verify Homeland Security program and completion of I-9 Forms.
Create training plans for international students, final evaluations, OPT extension plans, assist with H1B Lottery and applications. Collaborate with sponsors of international students.
