**Job Overview**
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Human Resources to lead our HR department. This role is pivotal in shaping our organizational culture and ensuring that our human capital aligns with our business objectives. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of employment and labor law, talent acquisition, and performance management, along with strong leadership skills to guide our HR initiatives.

**Responsibilities**

Responsible for strategies related to the People Pillar of the strategic plan including the support of programs that further the mission and strengthen the values of Community Hospital-Fairfax

– Develops concepts, communicates ideas, and participates in strategies related to building and supporting the Community Hospital-Fairfax team.
– Attends senior management meetings, as requested.
– Attend Board of Director meetings, as requested.
– Manage, report, and track metrics related to the general health and culture of the employee body at Community Hospital-Fairfax, including employee engagement efforts.
– Build, support, and recruit the workforce to take care of the community we serve.

Works in conjunction with the senior leadership team to develop and grown CH-F Leaders.

– Develop leadership development curriculum for department directors.
– Conduct leadership training curriculum for new or developing leaders.
– Create and guide succession planning efforts when needed.

Recruits the team needed to fulfill the mission at CH-F

– Creates a strategy related to communicating workforce needs to the public consistent with the mission and values of CH-F.
– Conduct a professional and engaging recruitment process to cultivate the best possible first impression.
– Creates and maintains an onboarding process to inspire new team members about the mission and values of CH-F.

Develop and implement strategies to retain the CH-F workforce.

– Be present and accessible to the CH-F workforce, rounding when needed.
– Build, encourage, and support team members.
– Work with department leaders to develop and conduct educational outreach to provide growth opportunities for the CH-F team.
– Administer wellness activities including promotion of the Employee Assistance Program.

Grows the workforce of the future for CH-F.

– Creates pipeline for potential team members and develops touchpoint program for individuals considering a career at CH-F.
– Creates and develops opportunities for youth to learn and grow on campus and outside campus.
– Represents CH-F at outreach activities that promote the hospital as a great place to work for interested individuals.
– Assist clinical students from different colleges, set up a clinical rotation with one of our providers.

Perform employee relation services for the organization to ensure a fair and equitable environment consistent with regulations regarding employment and CH-F policies and procedures.

– Meets with employees and/or managers regarding issues related to their employment.
– Guides, develops, and mentors department directors related to employee relations including corrective action efforts when required.
– Guides employees through issues they may have with management. Administers the grievance process.
– Develops policies that meet state and federal regulations for organizational approval, and maintains the employee handbook with input from senior leadership.
– Conducts the investigation and participates in the resolution of incidents related to employment regulatory compliance such as EEOC, Title VII charges, ADA, FMLA, etc.
– Provide support to employees in various HR-related topics such as leaves, compensation, and works to resolve any issues that may arise.

Administers the hospital performance management system.

– Work with senior leaders to develop performance management efforts to support the organization and individual in meeting strategic goals.

Administers the human resources management system in conjunction with the CFO, HR Generalist, and payroll personnel.

Provides oversight for the HR generalist with the administration of the following programs.

– Workers’ Compensation
– Unemployment process
– Retirement program
– Employee health benefits in conjunction with the CFO
– Background checks and onboarding compliance
– H1B program
– Cobra
– 403B
– Employee licensure and eligibility

Provides oversight for HR generalist for record maintenance in a compliant and organized manners

– Sets up, maintains, and keeps confidential personnel records on each employee, ensuring accuracy of personnel data.

All other duties as assigned.

**Qualifications**

· Bachelor’s Degree required.

· Leadership training experience

· Ability to successfully analyze, organize, assign, direct and monitor the work steps of assigned projects.

· Demonstration of strong personal skills, both oral and written.

· In-depth knowledge of labor laws, regulations, and HR best practices.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $69,000.00 – $76,751.43 per year
