Acutronic Simulation & Test USA (ASTU) is seeking a skilled and experienced Hydraulic Assembler to join our Pittsburgh, PA team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assembling complex hydraulic systems and components, ensuring that they meet the required specifications and quality standards. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, a minimum of 3 years of experience in hydraulic assembly, and a strong understanding of hydraulic systems and components. Additionally, the candidate should possess the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications, strong attention to detail, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and have the ability to work independently or as part of a team. For 50 years, Acutronic’s Motion Simulation & Test Division has been the global market leader in the development, design, and manufacture of Inertial Guidance Test Systems and Hardware-In-The-Loop motion simulators. These high-precision motion simulators are used in the aerospace, defense, automotive, and consumer electronics industries to test and calibrate sensors and missiles.
Acutronic’s Aerospace Components Division develops and manufactures specialty components for use on unmanned aerial vehicles and missile systems. These products are used on next-generation aerospace programs and include a range of micro-turbine engines, electric power systems, actuators, and turbo-generator propulsion systems. Acutronic is seeking a **Hydraulic Assembler**
Your roles/responsibilities will include:
* Assemble rotary hydraulic actuators; precision alignment of parts is critical
* Assemble complex hydraulic motion simulators, including installation of rotary hydraulic actuators, manifolds, encoders, servo valves, accumulators, instrumentation, etc.
* Perform precision alignments and metrology verifications of mechanical assemblies utilizing modern optronics such as alignment telescopes, theodolites, autocollimators, and laser trackers
* Install hydraulic motion simulators and ancillary equipment, both domestically and internationally
Your qualifications/skills should include:
* Must have a valid driver’s license
* Must attend Fork Truck training and obtain certification
* At least three years of mechanical experience is required, five years of experience preferred
* Technical School or Machining Apprenticeship is desirable
* Must be a US Person
Position type / physical demand:
* Work is generally performed in a shop environment
* Position requires walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, sitting, and standing in order to perform job duties. Frequent lifting and moving of heavy parts weighting up to several tons
* Travel requirement: 10-15%
