Our client has a Vantage Point EDI challenge that they need expertise to solve.
The Challenge
Our US-based client is currently using Vantage Point for EDI, but their Vantage Point system is unstable causing frequent inbound and outbound errors. Lacking Vantage Point expertise, and they need an experienced resource to stabilize their EDI platform and manage ongoing transactions.
The client works with several dozen large retail trading partners. While they plan to transition to a new EDI platform, this role will focus on stabilization and support during the interim period (3-6 months, potentially longer).
The Work
The client is seeking a Vantage Point EDI Developer to:
* Troubleshoot and stabilize their Vantage Point EDI system
* Analyze and document the current EDI translation processes
* Implement best practices to optimize system performance
* Support ongoing transactions and ensure accurate data flow
This role is critical in maintaining the integrity of EDI processes and preventing business disruptions as they prepare for an eventual platform migration.
The Outcome
A successful consultant will stabilize the Vantage Point platform, resolve EDI errors, and establish best practices to improve system performance. This will enable the client to maintain smooth operations until they transition to a new EDI platform.
The Ideal Consultant
* Strong EDI experience
* Proficiency with Vantage Point Translator & UDT (Universal Data Translator)
* Experience with XML & SQL preferred
* Strong troubleshooting skills to optimize system performance
* Ability to analyze and document existing processes
* Strong communication and technical documentation skills
