In-House Counsel (Mandarin speaking required)

Job Description

**Position Type: Contract to Hire**
**Location: NYC (Fully onsite)**

**Start date: ASAP**

**Visa: US citizen, Green card holder, 485 (green card) EAD, H4 EAD, L2**

**We don’t provide H1B sponsorship. No C2C**

**Responsibilities**

– Oversee legal risk management for the branch
– Monitor regulatory changes and ensure compliance
– Conduct legal research and advise management and staff
– Handle subpoenas, lawsuits, and other legal/regulatory issues
– Support Head Office on U.S. banking law matters
– Coordinate with external counsel when needed
– Draft and review contracts, provide legal opinions
– Carry out other tasks assigned by senior management

**Requirements**

– Licensed attorney in New York State
– 3+ years of legal or regulatory compliance experience (law firm or financial industry)
– Mandarin Chinese proficiency strongly preferred

Note: We do NOT provide laptop for work.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: From $50.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 per week
