Interior Designer- Bilingual in Mandarin/Chinese

**Job Description:**
We are seeking a designer to join Aegis Building Supplies, Inc. This role is ideal for someone with experience in managing interior design tasks, coordinating projects, and supporting marketing and sales activities.

**Key Responsibilities:**

* **Project Evaluation:** Analyze project plans, specifications, and client communications to determine scope and requirements.
* **Estimating and Proposals:** Use estimating software to create take-offs and generate quotations/proposals.
* **Shop Drawings Coordination:** Review shop drawings from overseas manufacturers and ensure alignment with project requirements.
* **Showroom Management:** Oversee daily operations in our Houston, TX showroom, focusing on:

**Customers First:** Provide fast, friendly service by welcoming customers, assessing their kitchen and bath needs, conducting showroom tours, setting up measures, discussing designs, and making purchasing recommendations.

**In Stock:** Monitor and manage stock levels of samples and brochures.

**Showroom Appearance:** Ensure the showroom and special order displays are appealing and safe.

* **Sales Support:** Drive sales to meet company goals by adhering to store priorities.
* **Order Management:** Handle the complete ordering process for kitchen, bath, and other projects.

**Requirements:**

* **Language Proficiency:** Bilingual in English and Mandarin/Chinese.
* **Education:** Bachelor’s degree in interior design, graphic design, architecture, or a related field from an accredited program or university.
* **Experience:** Minimum of 1 year in a related field.
* **Technical Skills:** Proficient in reading blueprints and using estimating software, Excel, Word, and PDF readers.
* **Personal Attributes:** Detail-oriented, organized, and precise.
* **Communication Skills:** Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
* **Preferred Experience:** Experience in designing and selling cabinetry projects, with a preference for candidates with sales and project management skills.
