**Role Description**

This is an on-site contract role for a Java Automation DevOps Engineer located in Glen Allen, VA. The engineer will be responsible for designing and automating software application tests, building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, and ensuring robust system monitoring and maintenance. They will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop testing strategies, implement software development pipelines, troubleshoot technical issues, and enhance deployment processes to ensure efficiency and security. The role also includes regular analysis to optimize performance and reliability.

**Location: Glen Allen, VA**

**Type: Hybrid (One Day Onsite)**

**Rate: $70/hr on C2C**

**H1B, GC, GD EAD, USC, No OPTs please**

**Qualifications**

– Expertise in Java programming, Software Development, and Application Testing
– Experience with Automation, Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD), and DevOps practices
– Skills in Cloud Platforms, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and Configuration Management Tools
– Ability to troubleshoot, debug, and resolve complex software and system-related issues
– Knowledge of performance optimization, system monitoring, and security best practices
– Proficiency in collaborative tools and ability to effectively work with diverse teams
– Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related technical field
– Relevant certifications in DevOps, cloud technologies, or Java development are advantageous
– Previous experience in a government or regulated environment is a plus
