Job Title: Java OpenShift Developer (W2 Only)

Location: Irving, TX or Charlotte, NC

Duration: Full Time / Long Term Contract (W2 Only)

About the Role

We seek a skilled and experienced Full Stack Developer to join our team in a challenging and rewarding role. As part of this position, you will work with a cutting-edge tech stack and focus on developing and deploying applications on OpenShift Cloud. This role is ideal for developers who have worked on cloud migration projects and have extensive hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, Kafka, and REST APIs.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain highly scalable full-stack applications using Java, Spring Boot, and REST APIs.

Implement microservices and real-time data processing solutions using Kafka.

Design, deploy, and manage applications on the OpenShift cloud platform, ensuring seamless performance and scalability.

Lead and contribute to cloud migration projects, ensuring applications transition smoothly to cloud environments.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, define technical solutions, and implement best practices.

Troubleshoot and debug applications, optimizing for performance and efficiency.

Stay updated on the latest advancements in cloud technologies and propose innovative solutions to improve the existing ecosystem.

Required Qualifications

5+ years of hands-on experience in software development with a focus on Java and Spring Boot.

Expertise in designing and implementing RESTful APIs and working with Kafka for message streaming.

Strong experience with OpenShift cloud and application deployment/management in OpenShift environments.

Proven experience in cloud migration projects, demonstrating a deep understanding of cloud architecture and integration.

Knowledge of container orchestration and deployment tools such as Kubernetes and Docker.

Solid understanding of microservices architecture and distributed systems.

Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex application issues.

Preferred Skills

Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins, GitLab, or Azure DevOps.

Familiarity with front-end frameworks like React or Angular for full-stack development.

Knowledge of ELK Stack, monitoring tools, and log analysis for cloud applications.

Exposure to Agile development methodologies and collaboration tools like JIRA and Confluence.
