This company, a developer of advanced technology to better manage our power and utility resources, is looking for a Lead Electronic Hardware Engineer. The company is experiencing healthy growth, with more and more communities turning to intelligent utility/power systems. They’re making technologies, such as the smart grid, a reality. They need an engineer who can be a key player in bringing these to market.

Position Description

In this position, you’ll be the technical lead, taking board-level electronic hardware projects through the full development lifecycle. This includes design, testing, and final release. Specific responsibilities include:

* Design, analyze and validate network circuit boards which contain MPU, MCU, NAND, LPDDRx, high speed peripherals, PMIC, clock and wireless circuitries.
* Work with manufacture engineering in defining the tests and fixtures requirement for board level functional verification, programming and final meter tests.
* Work closely with firmware and testing organization to debug product failures and customer returns.
* Support design and projects in regulatory compliance, reliability analysis and testing and multi-source components selections.
This position will give you experience with multiple cutting edge technologies in spaces such as wireless communications, large-scale mesh networks, IoT, Edge Intelligence and advanced ASIC development.

Qualifications

* BSEE/CE with 10+ years of experience in board-level electronics design.
* Solid background in both analog and digital design using CAD and simulation tools (OrCAD, PSpice, LTSpice, Altium, etc.).
* Experience related to areas such as: MPU, MCU, NAND, LPDDRx, high speed peripherals (USB, SDIO, QSPI etc.), LDOs, DC-DC regulators and Op-amps.
* Expertise in testing/troubleshooting electronics with an oscilloscope, logic analyzer and signal generator. Experience with using temperature chamber.
* Expertise in troubleshooting complicated and random circuitry issues.
* Good understanding of signal integrity and test automation.
* Solid communication and organizational skills, with a proven ability to work with other teams.

Compensation:

$130,000-145,000/year with a 10% bonus.
