**Role:** Lead Java-AWS Cloud Engineer

In this role you will have the unique opportunity to design, develop, and deploy applications and features that will directly impact Cigna’s bottom line, ultimately providing better and more affordable healthcare for our customers. Our team uses a variety of technologies including the latest web frameworks and mainframe. **Key Responsibilities:**
* Support scrum team by coding, testing and implement solutions that support business needs.
* Integrate both custom developed and package-based solutions in a cloud environment.
* Support production implementation activities including advanced troubleshooting and application debugging.
* Attending stand ups, System Architecture Design, API development, participating in refinement and planning meetings and deploying to AWS environments.
* Continuous focus on code quality including code reviews.
* Provide full life cycle development with Java technology stack.
* Managing AWS engineering resources in AWS cloud development including design, coding, unit testing, triaging and implementation.
* Ability to work in a fast paced, demanding, and rapidly changing environment.
**Experience/Qualifications**:
* 10+ years’ hands on experience developing microservices using Java/Spring Boot/Spring.
* A strong handle on software design patterns and writing clean code specifically in a microservice environment.
* Relevant experience with API concepts and technologies such as REST, JSON, XML, SOAP, YAML, and Swagger.
* Demonstrable experience with Spring Framework (boot, batch, integration, mvc).
* Experience with messaging or event streaming technologies(RabbitMQ/Kafka).
* Test Driven Design (TDD) and unit testing as part of software development using packages NUnit, JUnit, PyUnit, Ansible, etc.
* 6+ years’ experience with the following AWS Services and technologies:
* Glue, Lambda, Step Functions, EKS, Event Bridge, SQS, SNS, S3, and RDS
* Apache Kafka
* Developing software with containers
* CI/CD environment (GitHub, Jenkins, and Terraform)
* AWS API Gateway
* NoSQL databases (MongoDB, DynamoDB, etc.)
* SQL Server
* Fair knowledge of Data Integration (e.g., Streaming, Batch, Error, and Replay) and data analysis techniques.
* Collaborate with Product, Design, and Business stakeholders to plan and prioritize new feature development.
* At least 1 project experience, migration based from on-prim to AWS/Hybrid.
* Document newly implemented technologies and application functionality.
* Understanding and experience with Agile development methodology and concepts.
**Desired Experience/Qualifications**:
* React and Jest testing framework.
* 2+ years’ Python experience.
* Healthcare, Healthcare Claim or Enrollment functions.
* Legacy technologies including Mainframe DB2, IMS.
* AWS Solution Architect Certification / AWS Developer Certification.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $68.44 – $72.30 per hour
