The Impact You’ll Make in this Role
As a Manufacturing Technology Engineer, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:* Support Medical Surgical global manufacturing and supply chain strategy for manufactured finished goods.
* Responsible for commercial leadership and technical support, supplier strategy development and implementation, process development, commodity strategy development, and project management.
* Lead and support cross-functional projects supporting the development and launch of new products that will be manufactured internally or by outside contract manufacturers
* Collaborating with cross functional partners such as production, planning, regulatory, quality assurance and plant engineering, to improve efficiency and effectiveness of the organization.
* Handling non-routine and difficult inquiries such as investigating alternative manufacturing methods.
* Collaborate with supplier leadership to manage supplier performance and compliance to 3M and end customer requirements
* Work with the suppliers to resolve any Quality or Service issue
* Work cross-functionally to lead project execution, leveraging DMAIC and Lean Manufacturing techniques
* Support and lead supplier selection analyses, risk assessments, mitigations, and savings project
* Participate in supplier negotiations resulting in long-term agreements that result in world-class service, quality, and cost performance
* Lead efforts to ensure supplier compliance to Standard Operating Procedures that follow FDA requirements, cGMP, and ISO 13485 standards for the healthcare industry
* Implement strategies to drive quality improvement and compliance, assuring timely supply of products to maintain excellent service to 3M customers
* Lead processes that meet quality and regulatory requirements
Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:* Bachelor’s Degree or higher in an Engineering and/or Science discipline from an accredited institution AND Seven (7) years of manufacturing related experience
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:* Master’s Degree or higher in an Engineering and / or Science discipline from an accredited institution.
* Experience in validation, nonconformance, root cause investigation, CAPA, Good Documentation Practices, supplier quality management, risk management, change control, and other elements of Good Manufacturing Practices.
* Experience in New Product Introduction and manufacturing scaleup.
* Knowledge of ISO 13485, ISO 9001, and cGMP requirements
* Medical device and/or drug manufacturing and supply chain expertise
* Demonstrated expertise in Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principals and application
* Experience in assembly design, systems integration, testing, validation, assembly, manufacturing, and supplier technical management
Work location: Onsite Columbia, MO
Travel: May include up to 10% domestic travel
Relocation Assistance: May be authorized.

Applicable to US Applicants Only:The expected compensation range for this position is $137,439 – $167,981, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s relevant knowledge, training, skills, work location, and/or experience.
