Who are we?

Located in Morristown, TN 45 minutes northeast of Knoxville, Precision Boilers manufactures industry-leading electric and fuel-fired hot water boilers and steam generators plus a wide range of accessories such as deaerators and blowdown tanks.

What is the opportunity?

Reporting to the Industrial Engineer, the Master Machinist will program, set-up, and operate CNC machine equipment such as Vertical Mills to produce parts to meet customer specification. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following, other duties may be assigned.

* Program machine to run new parts
* Operates fabrication machinery to produce parts used in manufacturing processes.
* Setup and design clamps, fixtures, or vices.
* Reads and interprets blueprints and design sketches to ensure proper dimensions and specifications for parts.
* Selects the appropriate cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials to be used on machines.
* Examines and measures completed units and parts to identify any defects and to ensure units conform with predetermined specifications; adjusts machine controls to resolve production errors.
* Inspects machinery for any needed repairs; performs minor repairs within expertise.
* Maintains cleanliness and safety of work area.
* Complies with applicable safety standards and regulations.
* Inspect product for quality and compliance with customer specifications using metrology equipment.
* Performs other related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

* 3-5 years of CNC programming experience.
* Experience with HAAS VF-8
* Experience with Steel.
* High school diploma or equivalent required.
* Vocational/technical school training and apprenticeship required.
* Three years of relevant experience required.

Skills and Abilities:

* Ability to operate various types of machine tools to perform progressive machining.
* Ability to read blueprints and plans.
* Excellent mechanical skills.
* Excellent time management skills.
* Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Physical Demands:

* Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, reach, lift, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk or hear, and be able to tolerate repetitive motion during the full course of a scheduled shift.
* Must be able to lift and/or move more than fifty (50) pounds.
* Able to physically multitask.

Work Environment:

This position regularly works in a typical warehouse environment, including being near moving mechanical parts and is regularly exposed to fumes and/or airborne particles. Most of their time, the Electrical Panel Builder will spend time in the plant with low to moderate exposure to noise, heat, and cold environment. Steel toe shoes, earplugs, and safety glasses are always required while on the production floor.
