Detailed Job Description:

* Administer and manage DataStax Cassandra clusters in both on premise and cloud environments AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform. Set up, configure, and deploy Cassandra database clusters, ensuring performance, availability, and reliability.
* Perform regular maintenance tasks such as backups, upgrades, and security patching of Cassandra installations.
* Evaluated clusters and provided best practice recommendations.
* Required performance and forecast reports ensuring infrastructure capacity.
* Managed Apache Cassandra clusters optimizing performance and reliability.
* Conducted data recovery and incremental backups ensuring data integrity.
* Tuned Cassandra for optimal performance supporting 24×7 operations.
* Utilized Ansible scripts to automate the setup and maintenance of Cassandra clusters ensuring efficient and repeatable processes.
* Hands-on experience handling operational tasks of Databases such as Couchbase, Cassandra, postgres database upgrade/downgrade, capacity expansion, backup and recovery, performance tuning
* Good to have experience on Automation experience using Ansible for Infrastructure use cases like Upgrade , Patching , etc
* Experience in coordinating with multiple development, infrastructure, framework, and production support teams.
