Job Description

Location : **San Antonio, TX**
We are actively looking for a **Network Engineer** or **F5 Engineer** for an onsite role . The ideal candidate will have **deep, hands-on experience** with **F5 Load Balancers**, **AVI (VMware NSX Advanced Load Balancer)**, and **DNS** infrastructure. This role will be part of a highly skilled network team responsible for ensuring high availability, performance, and scalability of our enterprise networking and load balancing environments.
**Key Responsibilities**
* Design, configure, and manage **F5 BIG-IP Load Balancers**, including LTM, GTM/DNS, and ASM modules.
* Maintain and optimize **AVI (NSX Advanced Load Balancer)** environments.
* Oversee DNS/DHCP/IPAM (DDI) services, ensuring proper name resolution and service availability.
* Perform day-to-day administration, monitoring, and troubleshooting of load balancers and network services.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support applications, troubleshoot latency, and ensure reliable traffic management.
* Assist with network architecture and strategy development related to load balancing and application delivery.
* Ensure documentation is up-to-date for configurations, processes, and procedures.
**Required Skills & Experience**
* 5+ years of hands-on experience with **F5 BIG-IP** load balancers (LTM/GTM/DNS).
* 2+ years of experience with **AVI Load Balancer (NSX ALB)**.
* Strong understanding and experience with **DNS**, including management, configuration, and troubleshooting.
* Experience with **traffic steering**, **SSL offloading**, and **iRules**.
* Solid networking background including TCP/IP, routing, switching, and firewalls.
* Experience working in large enterprise environments with high availability and security requirements.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
**Preferred Qualifications**
* F5 Certified (e.g., F5-CA, F5-CTS)
* VMware NSX or AVI certifications a plus
* Experience with cloud-based load
