UnityPoint Clinic is actively recruiting for an OB/GYN Physician to join our team in Waterloo, IA.
About our opportunity:
* Physician will join a team of 6 OB/GYN Physicians, 7 Certified Nurse Midwives and 1 Nurse Practitioner
* Call ratio 1:6 with a goal of obtaining 1:7
* Laborist/Doc-of-the-day care model
* 3-12 hour shifts per week (144-twelve hour shifts per year)
* Strong work-life balance with ability to take call from home.
* Nurse Triage service is first line for all patient calls outside business hours and covers routine obstetrical and gynecological questions.
* Experienced, trustworthy labor and delivery staff with low turnover
* Newly expanded and state of the art (LDRP) suites- 24 beds
* Total practice deliveries average 1000 yearly
* Level 2 NICU
* 24/7 access to highly collegial MFM consult with direct phone call.
* Two clinic locations with one located on the hospital campus.
* Fully integrated system with clinic and hospitals on Epic EMR to improve care coordination.
Responsibilities:
* Full time 3 (12) hour shifts per week
* Hours 7PM-7AM OB Hospitalist
* Physicians provide supervision to our collegial midwife group that manages their own low risk practice
Qualifications:
* MD or DO
* Must be Board Certified/Board Eligible
* Hold or obtain an unrestricted medical license in the state of Iowa
* Hold current and unrestricted state and federal authority to prescribe and administer medications as necessary or appropriate to the Advanced Practitioners field of practice
