**Job Summary**
We are seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide quality occupational therapy services to patients, focusing on improving their physical, cognitive, and emotional well-being.

**This position is available at multiple locations, with relocation support provided by Flint.**

**Job Type**: Full-time employment

**Pay:** $41.00 – $55.00 per hour

**Expected hours:** 36 per week

**Education and Training Required:**

* Bachelor degree or beyond.
* Completion of an accredited Occupational Therapy Program, certification by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy, Inc.
* Licensure in any US states.
* BLS Certification

**Experience:**

* A least two years of experience in Occupational Therapy preferred.

**Job Description:**

* Plan, organize and participate in medically orientated occupational therapy programs to include evaluating extent of abilities and limitations and assisting patient regain coordination through the utilization of selected occupational therapy procedures; determine activity assignments to obtain a therapeutic goal.
* Assist clients in performing activities of all types.
* Use physical exercises to help patients increase strength and dexterity.
* Use activities to help patients improve visual acuity and the ability to discern patterns
* Use computer programs to help clients improve decision-making, abstract-reasoning, problem-solving memory, sequencing, coordination, and perceptual skills.
* Design or make special equipment needed at home or at work.
* Develop computer-aided adaptive equipment and teach clients with severe limitations how to use that equipment in order to communicate better and control various aspects of their environment.
* Occupational Therapists may work with particular populations, i.e. children, the elderly, or may work in specialized settings, i.e. mental health.
* Observe and evaluate patient’s progress; design treatment plans and recommend programs suited to individual potential and rehabilitative needs.
* Coordinate occupational therapy with other therapeutic activities according to patient’s needs, capabilities, interests and treatment goals and objectives.
* Participate in ward rounds, patient care conferences, consultations and educational programs designed to improve patient care and staff performance; recommend new occupational therapy methods and techniques.
* Prepare and maintain a variety of records and files indicating patient progress, care plans and related statistical data as required by departmental and hospital policies.
