Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Oracle DBA with experience working in SAP environments for a full-time onsite role in Waukegan, IL. While this is not an SAP role, the successful candidate must have solid Oracle DBA expertise, specifically with managing Oracle Databases within enterprise-level SAP environments.

This role is ideal for a professional who thrives in dynamic and complex environments, ensuring optimal database performance, availability, and security. The right candidate will bring a blend of Oracle DBA expertise and experience working in SAP landscapes, ensuring smooth integration and management of databases within a large-scale infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

* Administer Oracle Databases in an SAP environment, ensuring high performance, availability, and security.
* Manage and optimize Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC) and Data Guard for business continuity and disaster recovery.
* Perform database performance tuning, backup and recovery, and troubleshooting in enterprise-level environments.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment to support database infrastructure and operations.
* Develop and maintain database scripts for Linux/Unix platforms using shell scripting or similar tools to automate tasks.
* Ensure adherence to IT policies, security protocols, and best practices.

Required Qualifications:

* Proven experience as an Oracle DBA in an SAP environment, preferably in large, enterprise-level infrastructures.
* Strong administration skills for Oracle databases in SAP environments.
* Experience with Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC) and Data Guard in high-availability and disaster recovery setups.
* Proficiency with Linux/Unix systems, including basic shell scripting or similar scripting languages.
* Experience working in an Agile development environment with a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
* Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer science, or a related field.
