Job Description
Pediatrician is responsible for providing medical services to Health Center patients in the field of pediatric specialization which the physician completed training in. Pediatricians must also provide on-call coverage as scheduled.
**ESSENTIAL DUTY**:
* The physician is responsible for examination, diagnosis, and treatment of pediatric and adolescent patients
* This includes the ordering and following up of lab and other diagnostic tests.
* This also includes the final disposition of the patient.
* When appropriate the physician will coordinate care with other members of the health care team, and refer patients when necessary for further diagnostic work-ups or treatment.
* This includes hospital admission when warranted as well as coordinating inpatient care.
* Performs other related duties as assigned
**Minimum Qualifications**:
* 1 to 2 years experience in the field.
* Graduate of an approved residency program.
* Able to communicate effectively with staff and patients.
* Graduate of an approved medical school.
* Basic computer skills required.
* Board Certification or Board eligibility.
