Job Description

Title: Perl Developer

Location: Middletown, NJ-Hybrid

Duration: 12+ months

Responsibilities:

* Develop, enhance, and maintain web applications using Perl and/or PHP.
* Work on the backend code to support frontend functionality and API integrations.
* Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize code for performance.
* Write well-structured, clean, and efficient code, following best practices.
* Collaborate with front-end developers, designers, and product managers to implement new features.
* Participate in code reviews to ensure high-quality code standards.
* Manage and maintain databases, optimizing for performance and scalability.
* Provide technical support for applications in production, identifying and resolving issues promptly.

Requirements:

* Hands-on experience with Perl and/or PHP.

Technical Skills:

* Strong proficiency in both Perl and PHP.
* Familiarity with modern PHP frameworks (such as Laravel, Symfony) is a plus.
* Experience with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and database optimization.
* Proficiency in web development standards (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
* Knowledge of RESTful APIs and web services.
* Experience with version control tools, especially Git.
* Exposure to server management and deployment processes is an advantage.
