Job Title: Production Maintenance Manager
Location: Cleveland, OH

Purpose of Position:
Carry out essential tasks to ensure that special projects and the overall maintenance of the Cleveland site are executed both tactically and strategically. The Maintenance Manager will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance, repair, and efficient operation of the organization’s facilities. This role demands strong leadership, a proactive problem-solving approach, and exceptional communication skills to effectively manage a diverse team of maintenance staff and external contractors.
Essential Duties and/or Functions:
* Lead the Maintenance Department: Oversee both process and facilities maintenance, including budgeting, training, scheduling, and troubleshooting, to ensure optimal maintenance standards and equipment readiness.
* Manage MRO Budget and Area: Control the Maintenance, Repair, and Operations (MRO) area and its associated budget.
* Participate in Tier Meetings: Regularly attend Tier Meetings to provide support and feedback on Best Practices
* Ensure a Safe Work Environment: Collaborate with all departments to maintain a safe manufacturing environment for all employees.
* Delegate and Communicate: Assign maintenance tasks, and communicate effectively with engineering and department managers.
* Manage Preventive Maintenance (PM): Develop and review maintenance instructions and establish tasks for preventive maintenance.
* Coordinate with Contractors: Engage with external contractors for work required at the facility.
* Handle Equipment Installation and Relocation: Oversee the installation of new equipment and the relocation of existing equipment.
* Utilize PPE Properly: Identify and use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as necessary.
* Time and Project Management: Efficiently manage time and responsibilities, including special projects on short notice.
* Handle Non-Hazardous Waste: Manage and dispose of non-hazardous chemical waste appropriately.
* Support EHS (Environmental, Health, and Safety): Provide support for Environmental, Health, and Safety initiatives as needed.
* Train Maintenance Staff: Educate maintenance employees on all required materials and procedures.
* Track Utilities: Monitor and report utility information to corporate as requested.
* Promote Energy Efficiency: Continuously seek and implement processes to reduce energy consumption where possible.
Required/Minimum Qualifications:
* Associate’s degree or equivalent degree and/or equivalent working experience.
* 5+ years of management/supervisory experience in a maintenance and or facilities role.
* 5+ years minimum of skilled trades work in a manufacturing environment
* PC literate with strong Excel, Word and PowerPoint Skills
* Proficient in multiple technical disciplines, analytics, and assurance techniques
* Must have the ability to lead, motivate, and develop personnel, particularly with project and cross-functional teams
* Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, procedures manual, and to comprehend basic instructions.
* Ability to communicate effectively with supervisor, lead, co-workers and other personnel. Must be able to read, write and speak fluent English.
* Experience with plumbing, pipe fitting, welding & fabrication, and electrical.
* Intermediate math skills are needed to include the ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions, to practical situations. Must be able to measure using the metric system.
* Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
* Forklift and airlift experience.
Preferred/Desired Skills and/or Experiences:
* Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related degree preferred
* Direct experience working in a Proactive Maintenance System environment is preferred.
* A self-motivated and team leader with good written and communication abilities.
* Direct work experience troubleshooting both electrical and mechanical systems and equipment
* Manufacturing experience.
* Computer literacy.
* Organization and follow-through work traits.

*The anticipated salary range for candidates who will work in Cleveland, OH is $110,000 to $125,000 annually. The final salary offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and years of experience within the job, type and years of experience within the industry, education, etc.*
