Role: Automation Engineer – Ansible, Python, RHEL LEAPP

Location: Remote

Duration: 1-2 years

Job Description

* Develop and maintain automation scripts using Ansible and Python to streamline system administration tasks and improve operational efficiency.
* Develop automation for RHEL LEAPP upgrades, ensuring smooth transitions and minimal disruption to the platform.
* Troubleshoot complex technical issues related to the Linux platform, including performance tuning and security enhancements.
* Manage Linux OS configurations, specifically with a focus on Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL).
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and maintain Linux OS platform.
* Stay current with industry trends and best practices in Linux, financial services, and cybersecurity.
* Provide engineering level support and contribute to incident resolution as needed.
* Document system configurations, procedures, and policies.

Qualification:

* Proven experience as a Linux Platform Engineer, with a focus on Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) preferred.
* Expert level programming skills in Python and Ansible.
* Demonstrated expertise in Linux OS configuration management.
* Demonstrated ability to develop scalable solutions that have been deployed in large global enterprise environments.
* Experience with RHEL LEAPP upgrades is highly desirable.
* Experience with Data Visualization tools, such as Splunk and ELK, is a plus.
* Knowledge of financial services, including regulations and security standards, is preferred.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Strong communication and collaboration skills for working in a team-oriented environment.
* Certifications such as RHCE or equivalent are a plus.
* Willingness to adapt to evolving technologies and embrace continuous learning.
