Meet Your Team

As a Backend Software Engineer, you’ll be a key contributor to the development of the company’s global payment platform, designing and optimizing systems that shape user experiences and drive business success. You’ll collaborate with design, product, and QA teams to deliver best-in-class solutions, with a strong focus on code quality, customer-centric design, and agile development.

Your Day-to-Day

As a Senior Engineer – Backend, you will:

* Architect and lead the development of large-scale backend systems.
* Mentor engineering teams and drive technical excellence.
* Architect complex systems, setting standards for best practices.
* Utilize strong analytical skills to define problems, analyze data, establish facts, and draw insightful conclusions.

What You Need To Bring

* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
* 5+ years of backend development experience, with proficiency in Python.
* Expertise in developing large-scale backend systems, with extensive experience in Django or Flask.
* Proven experience designing, building, and maintaining complex RESTful APIs and microservices.
* Strong leadership in guiding engineering teams through complex challenges and technical decisions.
* Deep understanding of distributed systems, cloud-native applications, and containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
* Experience with large-scale data processing, caching strategies, and performance optimization.
* Strong track record with microservices and distributed systems architecture.
* Proven ability to lead and mentor teams.

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience with Agile methodology and high-performance systems.
* Knowledge of the payment processing industry and related regulations.
* Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
* Contributions to open-source projects.

Compensation & Benefits

This position offers competitive total compensation, including a base salary, annual performance bonus (or other incentive compensation, as applicable), equity, and comprehensive medical, dental, vision, and other benefits. H1B/T1 sponsorship will be provided.

* Pay Range: The U.S. national annual pay range for this role is $130,500 to $234,600.
